My son was having some install issues with itunes which caused me to start looking seriously at his machine. I got past the install issue but thought I would do a shake for vermin. Ran Malwarebytes and it picked up some minor stuff. Looking at his hijack output, I picked up on this one line which I had not come across in the past

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.local

Bad? Not Bad? Something I can delete?

HJT Log attached. Thanks in advance for any help!

IMREALLYHOSED,

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.local

Bad? Not Bad? Something I can delete?

Typically there is nothing wrong with that setting. It is basically a default (not really a default be acts like one). The only time that entry needs "fixed" is when it appears in conjunction with a bad proxy server. (which you don't have).
IMREALLYHOSED,

How's about giving me a deeper scan and I'll see if I can see anything going on.
