The free version has one popup per day when it updates it's definitions - asking for you to purchase the Pro version, but if you close it out, that's the end of it, small price to pay for an excellent Antivirus.

For Firewall - I like Comodo

be careful with the installation of the Comodo program, it comes bundled with an adware toolbar which you need to de-select when you are going through the installation process. It's not a malicious program, but it may be a privacy risk and I don't think you want it on your system.

Just use caution when you download programs, that you trust the source.

ok thanks alot, you have been a great help. My computer is fast and running now. I do have another computer that is more advanced then the one we just fixed. Its my personal computer, i did post a thread and posted my log in another topic. Should i wait for a tech to walk me through that as well or just follow all the steps in this thread for my other computer. It has been experiencing alot of BSOD screens and im not sure whats causing it. I know its not hard ware because i updated ram and hardware constantly in that machine. It goes through shut downs and BSOD's mostly when im playing games. It is a gaming machine.
