Virus Mal_otorun1

Hi, Trend is continously quaranting this virus but seems unable to remove it. The computer connection is half the speed it normally is and Trend will no longer download updates and comes up with an error to check proxy setting etc. I have installed, unistalled and reinstalled Hijackthis but it will not open to run a scan.
