[Resolved] popups and extra windows for some sort of offers

I am not sure what happened but now i get popup ads for anything from smileys to surveys. i have run avast, malwarebytes, ccleaner etc. but not sure what i am looking for . i ran hijackthis and have teh list if its ok to post and ask for help. thanks so much.

Please while I am gone do these steps:

Show hidden files, Here is how:

Windows XP

* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

NEXT:

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.

Download it

HERE:

This program is for XP, Windows 2000, Vista
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

NEXT:

post the log from Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware



Be sure not to delete anything intill said ok to. also don't run any other cleanup programs till we
get done it may goof ours up.
Also if you have any questions feel fre to ask first.

When you post the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware log , also post the hjt log,
when post don't add as a attachment, copy and paste the logs here.Also let me know how your PC is behavuing

Hi. I got your logs. Is the malware log the first log or did you run it again? I see that it was run as a quick scan. I would like to have you run it again at full scan and post the new log… don't forget to have all checked and remove. Good luck mschroe919

First I see this in your malware log:

Files Infected:
c:\program files\online services\PeoplePC\ISP5900\utilities\AtlBrowser.exe (Dialer) -> No action taken.

at the end when log came up there was a part that said remove all checked, it wasn't checked so either you put the dialer on or you just fogot to do it.
S dialer is not good unless your the one who put it ther?

Start HijackThis

Click on the Misc Tools button
Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
You will see a list with the programs installed in your computer.
Click on save list button and specify where you would like to save this file.
When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file.
Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad into your next post.

Now that you are clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:

Note you may have some of theses programs allready, if so just a reminder to keep updated.

FIRST:
You need to create a new Clean restore point.

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.

Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.

Update all these programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs I have listed regularly. Without regular updates you WILL NOT be protected when new malicious programs are released.
