[Resolved] Search Links not correct

When trying to cure Virtool:WinNT/Cutwail.gen!E problem and using google to search same problem, i'm being redirected to various websites other than the one i want. i noticed that ADS had the same problem posted today. Can somebody step me through the cure for this first and then help with the Cutwail? The Hijackthis log follows -

Prior to this I had Avast Home Edition. I followed a recommendation to install Windows Live OneCare. Uninstalled Avast before installing. OneCare acting the same as what "kanwalds" describes in his posting 3/30/09 for Cutwail.gen!E problem. OneCare keeps coming up with the Tool but doesn't remove it permanently. Will pursue in my other posting for this error. Would like to fix this search/url link problem first. I would much prefer a fix rather than format c: and reinstall.
