Thank you for any help you can give me.
Welcome to the forum.

Looks like you may have a virus or two on your system.
Please go and get free scans at these links:

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/co…n_principal.htm

http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php

Next:

Please move HJT out of that temp folder and create a new permanet folder and place HJT in there so backups can be made, this is important!!

Then with only HJT running fix these:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

F0 - system.ini: Shell=explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\System\user32.exe

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\System\user32.exe

These two below are virus related, the virus scans should remove them.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ist service uninstall] C:\WINDOWS\mstasks2.exe /u

O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Microsoft Update Machine] moonie.exe

Reboot and post a fresh log back here when you are done. MrC
The info you gave me worked. Thank you very much. I must have had problems before this because my comp is working better than it has in months. Steelman
