This started a couple weeks ago when winpc defender was downloaded onto my pc and then started being really annoying with warnings seemingly every 10 seconds. days later, my google search got screwed up…instead of sending me to the link specified, it would rewire me to some stupid link advertising some product. i need to fix this.

here is the hijackthis report thingy.

I don't see either an active anti-virus program on your PC or a third-party two-way software firewall - how long has this been the case?
oh well i was annoyed with it so i tried to delete it about 1 week ago…i'm not sure if i was successful though. what i did was just reset the computer to an earlier date before i had problems with winpc defender.
The probable cause of the infection is the lack of adequate security and unfortunately this also presents another problem. It is impossible to know what has happened to the PC in the time it was without protection: malicious files dropped, legitimate files replaced and infected and security settings altered to make infection more likely in future. As a result, the best suggestion I can make is to back-up any important files and then reformat and reinstall the Operating System. I can let you have links to free software that will help keep your PC clean in future, if you wish.
