In the last couple of days, my computer has slowed to an absolute crawl. I was out of town over the weekend and used a hotel wireless connection. I was running at normal/slightly sluggish speed on Monday , but yesterday (Wednesday) I noticed a marked decline in speed/ I have run each of my virus/spyware programs: first AdAware, then Spybot and finally Norton. I have turned off my computer and turned it back on a number of times. Internet pages load horribly slowly, they seem to be loaded, and then the cursor goes back into hourglass mode and I have to wait again – this will happen 2 or 3 times for each page that is loading, even when I hit the "back" button to view a page I've already opened. All other programs also run exceedingly slowly, even when I have only one program open. I have run hijack this and generated the below logfile. Thanks!

Hello and welcome to :welcome:

Sorry for the delay, If you still need help with your machine, please do the following.

  • Download OTListIt2 to your desktop.
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
  • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check
    • .
    • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
    • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTListIt.Txt and Extras.Txt.
      Note: These are saved in the OTListIt2 folder on your C:\ drive if they don't open automatically.
    • Please copy (Select All>Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post them with your next reply.
  • You may need two posts to fit them both in.

Thanks, CatByte. After several days had gone by with no reply, I reposted. oldman960 has been helping me. He said he was going to delete this earlier post. P.S. I love your kitty pic. :)
