Just a suggestion:
Why place screenshot.exe on the Desktop? Put it in a folder some then place a shortcut to it in the Quick Launch area of the Taskbar. Then a single click gets the screen capture you want. I think this is much easier than adding a Desktop Toolbar, also a bit more intuitive as most people are used to using the Quick Launch area.
