Hi Ultilee Stupid, It is entirely up to you. All we are doing is changing permissions on some keys. These may or may not be set correctly. The fix will not change them if they are correct. ERUNT is a registry backup utility so we have a backup of the registry if we need it.

I haven't tried it yet, i saw you were gone for a fewdays so thought i'd wait untill you got back. Just a small problem before getting to it. This morning COMODO popped up and asked if it should block "facemoods" (not on my account of the computer on one of the others) they pressed block and it asked again and they pressed block again. I logged on to my account and the same thing happend. I blocked both requests. I looked in the control panel and a facemoods toolbar was listed, i uninstalled it and then i performed a quick scan with MBAM and it found no problems. There have been no problems since then. Does this sound like it's done with?

Hi Ultilee Stupid, I think so. Facemoods is not a malicious program, it's a toolbar which can be used to place smilies on FaceBook chats. Someone on the computer a FaceBook user?

Hi Ultilee Stupid,

This is what I found about the toolbar. As mentioned it's related to FaceBook.

Thanks for the info nothing else has happened since so looks to have been nothing.

On the Windows update: I tried to do the update again to see if anything's changed before trying the thing you told me to do a page or so back. I'm not sure if this is the same problem.

Error(s) found

code 643

1 result for "WindowsUpdate_00000643" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"

1. 1 Troubleshoot problems with installing updates

What should i do next?

Also since the virus trouble COMODO seems to ask to update everday, is this normal?

Hi

code 643

Same error code as the error log showed earlier.

1. 1 Troubleshoot problems with installing updates

Where did this come from? Is it a link to a troubleshooting quide?

Also since the virus trouble COMODO seems to ask to update everday, is this normal?

I was reading a topic earlier related to that problem. There wasn't a solution posted but it may also have been a permissions issue. I'll see if I can find the topic and reread it.

Clicked the trouble shooting

Here are solutions to some common problems with installing updates.

I tried to install updates but one or more didn't get installed.

Click to open Windows Update.

If an error has occurred, it will be displayed with an error code that you can use to search online for help.

Did you accept the Microsoft Software License Terms?
Install the update again and review and accept the license terms.

Click to open Windows Update.

Review any error messages.

If an error message about license terms or cancelled updates is displayed, click Try again, and wait until you are prompted to review the license terms.

Accept the license terms, and wait to see if the update is installed successfully.

Is there enough free disk space on your computer?
If you need more free space on your hard disk, you might need to uninstall programs, delete your temporary Internet files, delete files that you don't use, or empty the Recycle Bin, and then try again to install updates.

Did you cancel the installation process or disconnect from the Internet?
It's fine if you did. Just check for updates again and install any updates that were cancelled or interrupted.
