Do you have a bunch of .exe files in the folder?
C:\Windows\Software Distribution\Download\
Lets recap. The popups are coming when using IE and yahoo messanger but not with FireFox?

Yes, there are a lot of exe.files . How can you look at them? The windows are popping even without me opening any browsers. I only use Firefox and the pop ups appear to be opening IE. Doesn't matter whether I have Yahoo Messenger or MSN messenger on. I have not used them since yesterday or the day before.

Open the folder> (full Screen) hold down the CTRL key with the Print Screen Key> release those>
click Start> All Programs> Accessories> Paint, with Paint open > select Edit> Paste. That should show the folder with all the files.
Select File Save As and save it. See it you can attach it to your post here.

Might have been better to save them as JPG's. A lot smaller in size.
