Backup Your Registry with ERUNT

• Please use the following link and scroll down to ERUNT and download it.
  http://aumha.org/freeware/freeware.php
• For version with the Installer:
  Use the setup program to install ERUNT on your computer
• For the zipped version:
  Unzip all the files into a folder of your choice.

Click Erunt.exe to backup your registry to the folder of your choice.

Note: to restore your registry, go to the folder and start ERDNT.exe




Click "Start"> "Run"> type in Regedit tap Enter Key

Make sure "My Computer" is highlighted

Click "Edit"> "Find"
Type in 85.255.112.75 tap Enter Key.
Right Click on the key if found and select change variable and remove 85.255.112.75

Tap the "F3" Key to find the next entry of the file. Continue using the "F3" Key until it's finished searching.

Do the same for 85.255.112.79

Close Regedit.


Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Right Click on the key if found and select change variable and remove 85.255.112.75 there is no "CHANGE VARIABLE" option just Modify and Modify Binary Data

as soon as i opened IE it gave me a blank page like my net wasnt on....and the link didnt work. i normally use Firefox BTW

So does FF have a browser window to past that into?

I'm pretty sure that requires IE for the updates.
It did load the page though, right?

no it did not load the page. when i open up IE it says Invalid Syntax Error and will not load any webpage whatso ever yet my FF works fine

This doesn't make any sense. You can go to some web pages but not others. Nothing in your restricted zones, unless FF has a restricted zones settings. Are you using FF3? What about your Firewall?

not a single page will loadup in IE, yes im using FF3 and for firewall its just the standard windows firewall and its enabled atm.

This is everything I have to fix IE issues,

go to Control Panel > Internet Options. On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files". Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK. Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button. Click Apply then OK.

Try IE.


If you download and double click on this small app, it will restore all the default search fuctions for IE.

Save it to your desktop.

Right click on the file IEFIX.reg and select Merge.


If that doesn't work, see if you have this file:
C:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386\ie.inf

Right Click on ie.inf and select install.


If that doesn't work

Run the following commands:
Click Start> Run> Copy/Paste each, one at a time
Run each line individually.
After each run, you should see a short message stating the command was successful.

regsvr32 Shell32.dll (only applicable to Windows ME, Windows 2000 and XP)
