Pulsebaby,

IE9 is still a Beta version and should be avoided.

Follow Terry1966's link to restore IE8

Your System Restore space could use a fair bit of downsizing, but we will get to instructions for that later.

Have you run the actual OverDrive test?

If not, try and do so (re-install IE8 first).

From my post #50:

These points are important:

Under 'Summary' make a note of anything marked with a red 'X'.

Under 'Drivers', make a note of any drivers with a red 'X' .

Under 'Performance' make a note of anything marked with a red 'X'

Cheers,
Lee

low cpu and memory score will probably be normal now you've un-installed ie9 and re-installed ie8 along with the two drivers, and is one reason i want you to run the test again. monitor year is nothing to be concerned with and doesn't mean it won't last for years, parts are mass produced and not used until installed in a new laptop.

ok mowman says your using ie8 and not 9 so please reset it like you did before, but this time don't install any add ons, then install those 2 drivers if you haven't already from windows updates and run the test again please.

Hello pulsebabe :wavey:

You are using Internet Explorer 8

If you would like to check this for your self, follow these directions to be sure.

Look up at your menu and look to the right, at the Help title.

Click on Help > About > the version will be displayed

you can then post it back to us so we are sure. :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I also noticed that you were concerned about the rankings in the Pitstop test, I also was worried at 1st.

It isn't really anything to be concerned about, as there are lots of enthusiast out there that ramp up there machines to top the lists, and that's where some of the percentages come from.

Just be concerned with your immediate problems for now. Let us solve those issues, and you may wish to ramp your system up too.

Best Regards,
Jkc73
