STEP 1.
======
WinPFind
Please Download the following tools to assist us in removing this infection! Download WinPFind from http://www.bleepingc...es/winpfind.php

• Right Click the Zip Folder and Select Extract All
• Extract it somewhere you will remember like the Desktop
• Don’t do anything with it yet!

Reboot.
When the machine first starts again it will generally list some equipment that is installed in your machine, amount of memory, hard drives installed etc. At this point you should gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with a Windows XP Advanced Options menu.
Select the option for Safe Mode using the arrow keys.
Then press enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode

• Doubleclick WinPFind.exe
• Click on Configure Scan Options.
• Remove all the checkmarks under Folder Options on the left side by clicking the button Remove All, uncheck Run Addon's and click Apply.
• Click Start Scan
  It will scan the entire System, so please be patient! This scan may take awhile

Once the Scan is Complete

• Reboot your computer into normal mode.
• Go to the WinPFind folder
• Locate WinPFind.txt
• Copy the results from the WinPFind.txt file and post the results in your next reply.

Update your Java to the latest version. Uninstall any and all versions you have listed in add/remove programs and install the latest version from here:

You have two anti-virus applications running AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic and Norton You need to uninstall one because more than one can interfere and cause problems. It might even cause problems with IE. Please post (reply) with a fresh hijackthis log.

To change your home page
Your home page is the page that appears every time you open Internet Explorer. Choose a page that you want to view frequently, or one that you can customize to get quick access to all the information you want, such as the msn.com home page.
1. Go to the page you want to appear when you start Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. Click the General tab.
4. Under Home page, click Use Current.

Please try the following:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Internet Options.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box.
5. Restart Internet Explorer.

First, disable all pop-up killers if you have installed any. If this does not help, see:

No Luck. The regsvr32 files "succeeded", but IE still just displays a blank screen, and the Tools box doesn't open.
