Please Run the PCPitstop.com OverDrive Full Tests

Here's how:

You must use your Internet Explorer for this procedure. (doesn't work so well in Firefox or others). If your machine is running Vista or Windows 7, you must Select IE to “Run as Administrator”. After completing PCPitstop OverDrive you can close your IE browser and re-open it Normally so that you are no longer running as administrator.

Go to: http://www.pcpitstop.com
Click on "Free Computer Check-up" listed below PC Pitstop OverDrive
In the User Login - Click on "Sign up FREE!"
You'll need to submit a valid email address and create your own password, then click - Create Account(button)

Now enter your email address and password to Log in, Select - Scan this system Now!(button)
You will then be asked to download an ActiveX component and allow it to install.
It is safe and does not compromise your privacy.
Follow the on-screen prompts to install the ActiveX and to allow the Full Tests to be run on your machine.

The Full Tests take about 2 1/2 - 3 minutes on most machines.
When complete, a Results - Summary - Recommended Fixes will be displayed.

Please post the URL internet address, from your Results, back here into this Topic Thread so that we can review the configuration and present performance levels of your machine.

Note: During the graphics 2D and graphics 3D testing, your screen will display some rapidly moving objects.
If you are sensitive to visual flashing, it may cause dizziness. Therefore, look away from the screen during that portion of the testing.

After reviewing the results we will be more informed and may be able to provide better recommendations for you to work towards improving your machine's performance.

While PCPitstop does offer a variety of Paid Products, the PCPitstop OverDrive testing is FREE. Please ignore the references to Paid Products. At WTT we prefer to provide manual solution instructions that you can apply directly to your machine.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Hopefully we will get to the resolution soon with this.

Ok lets see what we can do now. I am getting assistance also on this so that we can try to get this as painless as possible for you. Here are a couple of steps to take right now. First lets deal with indexing on the 80 gig sata drive. To turn off indexing: 1. Open up "My Computer." 2. Right-click on your hard drive (usually "C:" If that is your 80 gig) and choose "Properties." 3. Uncheck the box at the bottom that reads "Allow Indexing Service to..." 4. Click OK, and files will be removed from memory. This removal may take a few minutes to complete.

Old and new competing versions of Spybot Search & Destroy
Resource hogging SpywareGuard ver 2.2

Suggest if you are happy with this program then uninstall all versions and get the newest as long as it is not the above version.

Anti-Virus/Malware F-secure (a great utility, but look at all the processes running)
Consider uninstall F-secure & replace with Windows Security Essentials

I agree but would also like to say I use Avast for my AV and it has a very small footprint thatuses less resources.

Last of the AV suggestions

Uninstall Kaspersky Online Scanner

You should only run one real time AV on your system as they can give false positives and if they run at the same time they will slow your system down extremely.

I noticed 2 versions of Spybot, I uninstalled both and installed the latest

Consider uninstall F-secure & replace with Windows Security Essentials

I agree but would also like to say I use Avast for my AV and it has a very small footprint thatuses less resources.

I use F-Secure AV on every machine at home, should not be the problem

Last of the AV suggestions

Uninstall Kaspersky Online Scanner

I use F-Secure as real time scanner and Kaspersky is their webb scanner and i use it to do a full scan once a month, should not be a conflict since they never activated at the same time

So what do you think, is it possible to fix this issue?

Yes its possible but honestly you have to make some tough choices here.
It has been suggested that you completely uninstall Spybot as it is a resource hog. Slowing down your system along with others you have going.
Also with Malwarebytes installed I would suggest uninstall Spybot as I agree with most that Malwarebytes is better anyways.

This is another good point I missed on your system thanks to PC Pit Stop.

SpywareGuard (of any version, not just ver. 2.2) is "real-time" active scanner operating in the background. (and in my opinion, a resource hog)
Lotsa people like javacoolsoftware SpywareGuard, but on a low-resource machine, I think it takes too much of a performance hit.

Your Spywareblaster is a lot less of a resource hog then Spybot

Also with regard to Compressing Files to Save Disk Space.... Not a good option and seriously slows read/write.
"Uncheck" the option at C:\ - Properties in the same area you turned Indexing off. I missed this part in your PC Pit Stop log.

Remember this machine is running a SATA HD, and all other MB, CPU and RAM features should be supporting that HD at about 35-45 MB/s.
Yet it is only operating at 3 MB/s.

You have a lot of redundancy going on in your system which is taking a lot of resources up causing slow downs.

I'm not using the teatimer in spybot, since i'am using SpywareGuard. I got this setup after removing maleware. I also use this setup on the other machine which is a copy of this one. If you want i can revomove Spybot...

As I stated lots of duplicated programs to do the same operation.
From the Admin that is helping me.

SpywareGuard (of any version, not just ver. 2.2) is "real-time" active scanner operating in the background. (and in my opinion, a resource hog)

Programs like these that have a large footprint will slow your system down.
With your minimum memory you need to uninstall some of these repeat programs to help your system resources increase which would then speed up your system.

Malwarebytes
Spywareblaster
Maybe consider going to Microsoft Security Essentials for your AV or AVast Free Home Edition
Firewall is good what you are using now also.
That is all you should have.
Once you do all that then try rebooting and see if the speed of your system increases.
