let's start with the make and model of your computer, they are usually labeled on the outside another thing in device manager I want you to look for a sis cpu to agp controller if your video card is agp? it will be under system devices, what's the driver date and is it whql certified

@Dachew.

Radeon X1950 Pro is a PCI Express card

For mainboard and BIOS version, look in the PcPitstop test, under Test details.

@TonyG123

Do you have the Chip-set CD which came with your PC? (Normally stating Drivers and utilities on the front) If so, please re-install your chip-set drivers. No harm done overwriting them, as long as you haven't updated them before. That way, we can be sure your chip-set drivers are in place.

Hi TonyG123 Just saw you were posting in the HJT forum. If you are going to re-open with Silver, its not wise for us to go any further here. We shouldn't be doing any alterations to your system with ongoing logs in the HJT forum because they will make the logs non-accurate. Once done with Silver, and if you still having problems, you can just post back here. And please refrain from the advice above regarding your chip-set drivers for the same reasons. Regards Abydos

you might just glance in the case and see if it looks right, we'll address any driver issues when you are declared all clean malware has been known to hose video drivers

TonyG123 Try to do as many of the suggestions on PCPitstop as possible most of them are pretty easy instructions to follow. You would be suprised how much simply defraging your PC will help. As Doug mentioned before Windows defrag program work pretty well if ran in safe mode, or try one of the others mentioned earlier in this thread.

Looks like the sis northbridge is using xp generic drivers, more foolproof that way, not sure if it maximizes performance tho How's everything working?
