Hi Scotty... ..and thank you for all your help - it seems to be ok now. One question though - I have no access to "Help & Support" - is it possible to reactivate or do you know another way to access this option?

Hi again... ...no - I mean when I try to do the following: ----- Please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure: Disable and Enable System Restore. Click Start | Help and Support | Undo changes to your computer with System Restore. Click Create A Restore Point then click Next. Give it a name it and then click Create, then Close. Close the Help and Support Center box. Click Start | Run and type Cleanmgr Select (C: ) then click OK. Click the More Options tab. Click Clean Up in the System Restore Section. ----- I'm not able to - because when I click Start and then hit the "Help and Support"-button - nothing happens...

Plan B

Download this regfix startmenuhelp.reg

The last section of the REG file recreates the HELPCTR.EXE App Paths value.
