As far as I can see, this machine is clean. That's good but you still say it's running poorly. I'm going to give you some links with information regarding this. Try some/all of the suggestions and see if things improve.

What are the hardware specs? CPU RAM HD - and free space

Hi Dave, The computer is running better, but it still seems a little slow. This is not my computer. I am trying to help out a college student. I am not a computer guy, so I do no if the speed of this computer is ok or not. I can compare it to mine which is a Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHZ, 2.99GHZ, 512MB of RAM, XP Pro SP2, 145GB Hard Drive with 131GB of free space. This computer is a Celeron CPU 2.46GHz, 2.39GHz, 512MB of RAM, XP Home SP2, 34.1GB Hard Drive with 26.6GB of free space. I understand that this computer should a little slower than mine, but it is running at about 25% - 30% the speed of mine. So it seems a little slow to me. What is your opinion? Thanks, Jon

Hi Dave, I did the last scan and it came up with 13 viruses. I had it clean them but the clean up only clean 12 of the viruses. I didn't have time to run a HJT log. I am going out of town for a week. When I get back I was going to re run the last scan and hopefully clean them all up. I will give you an update on how the computer is running and a run a new HJT log when I get back.
