Looking better

Download Blacklight Beta from here:
http://www.f-secure....light/try.shtml
Hit I accept. It will take you to download page.
Download blbeta.exe and save it to the Desktop.
Once saved... double click blbeta.exe to install the program.
Click accept agreement and Click scan
This app too may fire off a warning from antivirus. Let the driver load.
Wait for it to finish.
If it displays any items...don't do anything with them yet. Just hit exit (close)
It will drop a log on Desktop that starts with fsbl....big number
Please post contents of log.

It's actually going well. a2 hasn't popped up the warning that poqrpr.exe is trying to run a program on my machine. So for the time being it's running great. Thank you very much for your time and patience. I truly appreciate it. Do you recommend AVG for an antivirus program? It's free! I was thinking of putting it on my machine. Does it conflict with Norton's? My next project to tackle is my Father-In-Law's machine. I'm contemplating doing a reformat for his machine is so slow. The spyware has completely bogged down his machine. Anyways, I'll keep in touch. Thanks again. MccM

I use AVG free and I like it. However, you should never run 2 anti virus on your system at the same time or they will conflict and cause all types of problems.

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. In my signature below is also a tutorial on how to harden IE, a good read and very helpful to stop these things in the future. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on.

Safe Surfing. :D
