:wtf:

Thank you so much LDTate for your quick response...my apologies for not being as quick but I lost all connection to the internet...

This is how I stand right now...

Can now connect to the internet
Sometimes I can have more than one page open...other times it disappears...

The Crystalysmedia...spywarstrike and tfccos shows now in MSN Spyware as Internet Explorer Trusted Site deactivated....where any of those even came from

I have no tool bar access at all...no View...Edit...Homepage...Favorites etc etc
No right click access to my tool bar...be I lock or unlock my bar at the bottom of the screen

The yahoo toolbar just plain disappeared

Thank you again so much for your kindness...and patience...
thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you

peace

Your log isn't showing anything bad. You still have Ewido so lets do that first.

please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Then please run Ewido, click on the Scanner run a full scan and let it clean everything it finds. Save the logfile from the scan.

Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

The forum is run by volunteers who donate their time and expertise.

Honestly!!

I don't see anything bad in the HiJack file and the Ewido didn't seem to find anything out of the ordinary...the usual cookies...

I had unlimited pop up windows once and now I can't have more than one browser window at a time

Yahoo toolbar decided to show up again but still no toolbar options

Thank you sir and here is the latest HiJack and Ewido Logs

I suggest you do this:

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapp...rch/search.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = localhost

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

Go here and run this scan. Let me know what it finds.
Microsoft - Malicious Software Removal Tool
http://www.microsoft...ve/default.mspx

Download this one and let me know if it finds anything.
RootkitRevealer

The one that shows data mismatches in the registry are values/data changing during the scan. I don't see anything bad. Hows it running?

There are bad guys that delete system files.

Lets see if we can get the PC back on the internet. This file will fit on a floppy or thumb drive.

Get a copy of winsockxpfix.exe You just run it and
things should work OK after it reboots your system.

:wavey: LDTate, Yes it's me indian again. I passed on your message to blondygirl, and she wanted to know if running that program will bring back her deleted system files. She was looking at her computer and a box appeared saying something like "you need windows 2000." So she believes that one of the files deleted is her windows 2000. She has to down load the program you requested from another computer because she can not access the internet at all. We were just wondering if there was anything else she should do or not? Blondygirl will write you back if she can or I will respond for her to let you know how things are going. Thanks again for all of your time and effort on this matter. :D Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you and bye for now :wavey: Indian + Blondygirl

This should replace any missing windows system files.

You can use windows sfc (system file checker) You'd need your Windows CD to make this work.
Click Start> Run> type sfc /scannow Note the space.
(Note that there is a space between sfc and /scannow)
