Can't say we didn't try.

Incidentally, remember when I was blaming Chrome for blinking to open a link. Well Edge blinks now that I have made it the default browser just to check it out. So, it was Windows Mail and Calendar from the store which  have that is common to both. Get what you pay for.

I'll either keep this or luckily bump into one I can handle. TY anyway

Just checked and emClient Pro is $49.95. A bit steep for an E-mail program, even though it is a good one.

That s one the more expensive apps out there. I have not yet paid for PC apps since I got a PC. It is the principle of the idea. I did buy Windows retail and Office 2019 Home an Student. They dropped OCR with 2019 or I would not have gotten it.

I tried MBAM with the free version in mind but did not care the way it took over for Defender so I use Defender and have Emsisoft and Avira on a stick.

I think I will avail myself of the sand box and practice with one of the better mail apps until I feel I can download it and utilize features with security and stability.

Meanwhile Mail will suffice.

It would take some getting used to, to use Sea Monkey's browser and mail. I am used to Chrome and Edge. I always have problems with incoming servers and outgoing of the same with apps that have no ez wizard.. But as I said that is when my ISP can be useful. CU

P.S. I just noticed that sea Monkey strongly advises to back up as irreversible changes are made when you install the browser.

I would love to know Linux but at this point I have enough to handle with Windows.

I love my iPhone and now Windows 10; I never thought I would say that. There is a lot of grumbling about Windows but it is not called for. I thought my Galaxy was great till the iPhone. The meaningful and sizable updates occur frequently, unlike Google. Pixel's new carrier plan called FI is tempting; my son has it and likes it. Old men roam.   :wall:

I have MBAM Premium and Defender running side-by-side, no problems. You just turn off Register with Defender.

Looks good. I'm sticking with Defender>real time etc. and the others in the stick  for stand alone. Let's hope both work for each of us..

If I had already bought MBAM previously I might have switched to it as the default.

I tried sea Monkey in the sand box but when I got to calling the ISP for servers I stopped.

For Gmail:

pop.gmail.com 995
smtp.gmail.com 465  SSL/TLS

Not sure about IMAP as I've never used it. I prefer the mail on my own system, not on the Gmail server.

I saw that listed as an email client. Then I saw them create a shortcut to desktop where they could retrieve Gmail accounts. Do I have that wrong?

I have kept the servers, thank you.

Don't understand you're question.

I have 3 shortcuts on my desktop for Seamonkey. Each one starts Seamonkey with a different account.

You change the Target: to add add a "C:\Program Files\SeaMonkey\seamonkey.exe" -P xxxxxxxx

where xxxxxxxx is the account name you want it to start.

I found a great tutorial for that which I goofed up but did get a copy off to your mail.

I'll be working on it. It looks like it is a good idea which requires some up front work to handle multiple accounts. Thanx again.

Please disregard the prior post as it was something I saw on YouTube and incorrect..

You would laugh at my desktop bc it is bare.

Outgoing smtp remains the same (because outgoing is outgoing.  Pop vs imap is incoming)
