Seven years is probably pretty good by todays standards. I, however, run computers for ever. I haven't had my current laptop for a year yet. I replaced my 12 year old laptop. My old lappie still works but it is 32 bit, 512k memory, can't run the newer operating systems and has a failed cooling fan. I need to replace that fan and then see if I can continue to use it with linux or something.
