Good work Felix your computer is clean.

Now that you’re free from malware, as long as your computer seems to be running well, please follow these simple steps to tidy up you computer and decrease the likelihood of getting infected again:

===================================================

Uninstall Combofix

Follow these steps to uninstall Combofix• Click START then RUN
• Now type Combofix /uninstall in the runbox and click OK.
Note the space between the X and the /, it needs to be there.
Posted Image
• Please follow the prompts to uninstall Combofix.
• Once it's finished uninstalling itself you will receive a message saying Combofix was uninstalled successfully.
===================================================

Uninstall OTL
  • Double-click OTL.exe
  • Click the CleanUp! button.
  • Select Yes when the Begin cleanup Process? prompt appears.
  • If you are prompted to reboot during the cleanup, select Yes.
  • The tool will delete itself once it finishes, if not delete it by yourself.
NOTE: If you receive a warning from your firewall or other security programs regarding OTL attempting to contact the internet, please allow it to do so.

===================================================

Firewall

I see no evidence of a firewall. I suggest you get one in place now. I can’t stress how important it is that you use a firewall on your computer. This is one of the ways computers are open to Malware. Without a firewall, your computer is susceptible to being attacked again. Windows XP firewall is not adequate protection.

If you have a router with firewall features that’s fine – if not, I suggest you do the following:

Download one of the following firewalls:

ZoneAlarm
Sunbelt Personal Firewall

NOTE only install one firewall. Having more than one could cause many programs to stop working altogether. Also, the firewalls may get in each others' way and cause some security holes that would not be there with just one firewall.

For a tutorial on Firewalls and a listing of some other available ones see Understanding and Using Firewalls

===================================================

Update installed programs

Your version of Flash Player is out-of-date and the Flash player included with SP3 is also old.

Go here and download the latest version.

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 26 and save it to your desktop.
  • Scroll down to where it says JDK 6 Update 26 (JDK or JRE)
  • Click the Download JRE button to the right
  • Select the Windows platform from the dropdown menu.
  • Read the License Agreement and then check the box that says: "I agree to the Java SE Runtime Environment 6u26 with JavaFX 1 License Agreement". Click on Continue. The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save the file to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel, double-click on Add or Remove Programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check (highlight) any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE or Java™ 6) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u26-windows-i586.exe to install the newest version.
  • After the install is complete, go into the Control Panel (using Classic View) and double-click the Java Icon. (looks like a coffee cup)
    • On the General tab, under Temporary Internet Files, click the Settings button.
    • Next, click on the Delete Files button
    • There are two options in the window to clear the cache - Leave BOTH CheckedApplications and Applets
      Trace and Log Files
  • Click OK on Delete Temporary Files Window
    Note: This deletes ALL the Downloaded Applications and Applets from the CACHE.
  • Click OK to leave the Temporary Files Window
  • Click OK to leave the Java Control Panel.
===================================================

Recommended programs

SpywareBlaster. SpywareBlaster protects against bad ActiveX, it immunizes your PC against them. It blocks over 11,000 bad sites and uses no resources of your computer.

===================================================

Update and run Malwarebytes. This really is an excellent program that you should update and run on a regular basis, probably weekly.

===================================================

It’s important to keep programs up to date so that malware doesn't exploit any old security flaws.

FileHippo Update Checker is an extremely helpful program that will tell you which of your programs need to be updated.

It's probably easiest to go to the Control Panel and uninstall Java then download it again.

Try this Felix:

Please download JavaRa to your desktop and unzip it to its own folder
  • Double-click on JavaRa.exe to start the program
  • From the drop-down menu, choose English or the appropriate language...and click on Select.
  • Click Remove Older Versions to remove the older versions of Java installed on your computer
  • Accept any prompts.
  • Open JavaRa.exe again and select Search For Updates.
  • Select Update Using Sun Java's Website then click Search and click on the Open Webpage button. Download and install the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version for your computer.

Hi,

Still encountering problems with Java.

When I open the JavaRa.exe file, I click on Select "Search for updates" to get the latest JRE. After that, I check "Update using Sun Java's website" but when I open the webpage the following message gets displayed :

This site is experiencing technical difficulty. We are aware of the issue and are working as quick as possible to correct the issue.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

To speak with an Oracle sales representative: 1.800.ORACLE1.

To contact Oracle Corporate Headquarters from anywhere in the world: 1.650.506.7000.

To get technical support in the United States: 1.800.633.0738.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a problem with the Java website, not your computer. See here: http://page2rss.com/...ds/?intcmp=1281

Try downloading Java from here.

Hi felix

Let’s try forcing the uninstall

Download Revo Uninstaller
  • Double click the installation file on the desktop to run the installer.
  • Let it install to the default location.
  • Double click the new Revo Uninstaller Icon on the desktop to start the program.
You will now see a list of installed programs that Revo Uninstaller can remove.
  • Locate the program you are uninstalling <Java™ 6 Update 7>(or any Java you see)
  • Right Click the Icon then choose Uninstall.
  • Click yes to the warning and choose the Uninstall Mode
  • Choose the Advanced option and then click Next.
  • This will launch the programs built in uninstaller. Be patient it can take several seconds.
  • Once the uninstaller is done click Next.
  • Revo Uninstaller will now scan for leftover information. Be patient it can take several seconds.
  • Once this scan is done click Next.
  • You will then be presented of the leftover entries found by Revo Uninstaller
  • Look at ALL of the entries to ensure they relate to the uninstall.
  • Next click Select All > Delete to remove the entries.
  • Click Next.
  • If there are any program file folders left over you will be presented with a list to be removed.
  • Again look at ALL of the entries to ensure they are related to the uninstall.
  • Click Select All > Delete to remove the entries.
  • Click Finish to go back to the uninstall list.
  • Close the program
If that also fails, try the tool found here

Let me know how that goes

Check to see if you have the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\Sheebalomma\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment If it is there, delete deployment.properties in that folder

Also, try downloading Java from here. instead of using Control Panel.
