Please don't even open regedit until you have backed up your Registry with Erunt (as previously advised)
I said this because its easy to make your machine unusable if you make a mistake in the Registry......if you make a mistake in Windows then you will often get a nice message " are you sure you want to ......"
whilst working in the Registry if you make a mistake there is no warning.......your command will be implemented even if you have made a slight mistake so that it could wreck your machine (machine may just not start).......so that's why we always should back up the Registry before we even open regedit.....so we stand a chance of putting things back to normal if the worst should happen... There's nothing wrong in editing the Registry...but it best always to back it up first (using Erunt which is good) before you start.
To protect you, I removed from your post, your Windows Product Key (edited your post ) as this is private information that is best not displayed in public.....(bad people might get hold of it and use it to your disadvantage.)
Good news...the information you provided from your Device Manager indicates strongly what is causing the sound problem........
at some time a USB device (Angel Mpeg USB) that has audio facilities included in it has been plugged in a USB port on your machine, but the drivers have not installed correctly (so it won't work properly) and also it has removed the drivers for your Dell onboard sound, so that won't work either, leaving you without any sound, at all.
The solution is probably to install the correct drivers for your onboard sound and I will get on to the Dell website for you and find out where you can get them from for your particular machine. When I've located them I'll post back here with a direct link so you can download them.
If I need any more information from you to help me locate the correct drivers I'll post back here .....
Regards

here's the link you need to down load the driver
http://support.dell..../...=&typeid=-1
The driver you want to down load is the last one in the list, it's called:
Sigmatel Driver v5.10.0.5515_...
its for Stac 92XX C-Major HD Audio and when you come to download it (if your browser puts up a warning..allow it to download) the file name should be:
R171789.exe and it's about 7MB in size.
Important
Before downloading this and installing it please do the following:
1 Make sure that your Angel Audio/video tuner USB device is physically removed from your computer...unplug it please, (but keep it safe.)
2 Now go back into Device Manager and uninstall any references to it (the Angel device, if you find more than one reference to it, uninstall each one, right click and click on uninstall)
3 Close down your computer in the normal way (a full shutdown please, not a sleep/standby/hibernate) and wait 30 seconds with a blank black screen
4 Restart your computer
5 wait 5 minutes (not a second less!)
6 Now follow the link I gave you above, download the file, extract it, install it, and close down your computer again, wait 30 seconds with a blank black screen then:
7 Restart your computer and wait for 5 minutes (not a second less!)
8 now try your sound again (see post number 20 step 15 through to 18
let me know if you hit any problems.
regards

I suppose that you know why I did not get the bootup theme.
I got the powerdown theme and then when i rebooted (waiting less that 30 seconds and less than 5 minutes, THIS TIME) I got the bootup theme.
Do I now go to:
http://dell.driversd...D...um=3&show=0
and reload the driver for Emuzed Angel USB TV Tuner?
Do I plug in the TV Tuner now?
(I don't think I changed any settings when I revisited your posting #20. I think everything was the same. Except that this time I got ding ping.)
