Most standard cases come in the ATX form factor, which can take either ATX or mATX motherboards - by far the most common. Try searching for a motherboard that isn't one of these two sizes! When searching for a case, I look for two things - build quality (usually determined simply by the manufacturer - for example, I'm a fan of all the cases Antec make), and air-flow design through the case. This is essential to keep things nice and cool. You could go a step further and look at the inside design, to see how easy it's going to be installed as well. Generally yes, I would say the motherboard is the heart of the system. While a motherboard is upgradeable, it's generally a big job - and if you've purchased an OEM install of Windows, a new motherboard means a new version of Windows as well. :smack: So we'll definitely get the best motherboard you can afford when we get to choosing parts. Hopefully by the time you've saved up, an i7 build will be an option. Cheers Troy

Ok, thanks much Troy. I'll probably hit you up in a year or so, haha. :P Hopefully it'll be alot sooner than that, but it'll happen the way it happens.
