I really appreciate everyones responses and help
thanks eveyone..

Hello Phrophecy99,

I posted in my last reply the full information regarding image backup software..No, you do not need a separate computer for such software. Both my computers are backed up onto external Hard Drives very successfully using Acronis for the Laptop and Ghost 10 for the PC.

I Hope this makes things a little clearer for you.

kind regards,

Update/Bump Well I got Acronis and did a full back of data (not a system backup as I am more concerned with back up files than the system). Its all good and went pretty darn well very striaght foward and I would reccomend this product to anyone. So the trial version is expired though in theory I got what I needed, a back up file that I can restore whenever I want of my 60 gbs of data. (My plan is to by another External HD and throw the backup file on there, leave the drive unplugged for the majority of the time to prevent being connected to the desktop at the time of an infection.) My one question is now that the trial version is expired. Should I uninstall it hence removing the 2 processes that are still running after expieration? (TrueImageMonitor.exe + TimounterMonitor.exe) Thanks everyone.

Hello again, I guess you realise if you do not purchase the software to backup for instance once a month at the very least, your backup using the trial will soon outdate. I cannot advise you other than to purchase the software and option it to backup your system however often you would want...... to your external Hard Drive. In the long run nothing is for nothing, the software is excellent so if you want to have it, then purchase it for your own safe keeping. In the end if your Hard Drive fails, you will be so pleased you did. The trial version if expired is of no use to you so uninstall it completely before considering my suggestion above. kind regards,
