Nothing has changed. Still running at 100% memory usage.

I looked at http://p2p.malwareremoval.com/ but I'm not being asked to do anything.

I couldn't uninstal P2P Netwoeking.exe since it doesn't show up under Add/Remove Programs

Here is the Cure-It report. I ran it in Normal Mode since you didn't say to run it in Safe mode. Didn't relaise until you said further done to switch back to Normal Mode

Hello

• Please download F-Secure Blacklight (fsbl.exe) from here
• Save into C:\ with a name of fsbl.exe
• Go to Start -> Run
• Copy and paste the contents of the below codebox into the run box
  

  C:\fsbl.exe /expert

• Click OK
• This will launch BlackLight
• Select I accept the agreement
• Click Next
• Click Scan
• Wait for the scan to finish
• Click on Next>
• Click Exit
• A logfile will have been created in the C:\ drive
• It will be named fsbl-xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.log where xxxxxxxxxxxxxx is the date and time of the scan
• Use notepad to open that log
• Post the contents of that log as a reply to this topic, along with a new HijackThis log

I don't know if this helps. Before I made the first post here I didn't have the 100% memory usage problem. It started as soon as I have followed this advice Hello 1. Download this file - combofix.exe 2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts. 3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall! _________________________ Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop. Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive% (Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix) Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following : Restart your computer After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually; Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear; Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter. Choose your usual account. Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script. Type Y to begin the cleanup process. It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot. Press any Key and it will restart the PC. When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons. Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum). You have two antiviruses (AVG & Norotn): It is strongly recommended that you run only one antivirus program at a time. Having more than one antivirus program active in memory uses additional resources and can result in program conflicts and false virus alerts. If you choose to install more than one antivirus program on your computer, then only one of them should be active in memory at a time.

Disable one of your antivirus and run a scan with antivirus which is active and tell me did that help.

The 100% memory utilisation started when I only had NAV installed and I hadn't even heard about AVG. So this can't be the reason. I have had NAV installed for two yeras so it can't be because of that either.

Sorry I don't mean to offend you but I'm not sure you're reading my posts probably. I originally asked you to remove summer2008.zip. You advised me in Post #5 to do various things. IMMEDIATELY AFTER I had done this the 100% memory usage started (has never been experienced before) and this is now the problem. This is also documented in Post #6. So whatever you asked me to do in Post #5 caused the problem. Thank you for your help so far.
