It's in the C:/workssetup file....I knew how to find the files, but not how to identify the item exactly. Most others I have read about on the internet have been in the same location, and suggest were made like download spybot search and destory but such things didn't work for the other people either.

I could not copy and paste the location from the info box of the yahoo anti-spy. I did make a image file by capturing the screen however, but cannot attach it here I believe. But the location it says is: Type: Folder Object Location: c:/workssetup Spyware.Matewatcher Category: Spyware

No, its not a file or folder I set up. Honestly, inside that particular folder there are very many workssetup files and such things. I thought it was some type of windows folder that came with the regular stuff that suppose to be on my computer. Rather like a folder for temp files or any other. To my understanding, are you saying this folder itself may possibly have been downloaded to my computer at some other time when I was downloading a file or app I knew what it was. Perhaps this entire folder is the "bad" ware that needs to be removed?

This is the one good thing about xp and restore. I have xp and I do bnot have that folder in my set up. I have a laptop from work that runs xp and it is not present there eiter. Make sure that restore is funning and theat you have a restore point from today. Then right click on that folder and choose delete, you may need to do this in safe mode.

Spot on, guy..thank you. The item is no longer there. I suppose the whole folder was inserted, naturally looking rather important so one hesitated to delete it or anything. Thank you very much for your help. This site was recommended to me by a Malaysian journalist who writes reviews for website such as these, new innovations, and new tech, etc. I will certainly contact her back and tell her to keep recommending it others. I had almost given up, but I appreciate you stayed patient and helped me through this. Regards, Sasha
