It is Edge that is doing the damage so best thing that you can do is get rid of it and use Chrome as your default browser, you can always go back to it in the future.

Did you happen to notice the third entry in your second screen shot, despite you getting rid of MBAM there is still parts of it embedded in the Edge browser.

Yes and I searched my PC for it and came up with nothing.

Another issue is even with nothing open, when I open File Explorer, it locks up and will not display any files/paths etc. and then will not close.

Can we sort the browser issue/s first and then move onto Explorer.

Yup! You are the expert. I will attempt to remove Edge and we will see what happens  then. Thanks for all of the help so far.

Yup! You are the expert.

Not too sure about that  :D

You cannot uninstall Edge as it is embedded into Windows, what you do is make Chrome your Default browser and that then disables Edge, please restart the PC and double check that Chrome is still the default browser, you can then do some browsing to test.

You are welcome  :)

Had the computer been left sitting for a while before taking the screenshot and did you also do some browsing to test for any connectivity issues.

Connectivity seems to work better with a minor issue that we can discuss later.

Glad to hear connectivity is better but what is the minor issue that you mention.
