Hello Ken,

I waited 24h to test the possibility of FF crash.

Q: "Any better ????"

Ans:  No.  Original probs> Mouse freeze, Firefox crashing - both continue to be a problem.

Firefox

Go to Help > About Firefox and let it update, you should have Firefox version 50.0.2

After it restarts, go to Help > Restart with Add Ons Disabled

Then see if FF still crashes, if not it may be one of your add ons causing the problem

You can reactivate the Add Ons one at time untill you find the culprit by going to Tools > Add Ons > Always Acivate

MOUSE

You never said if your mouse was wired or wireless

If its wireless change the batteries and see if it helps

Try changing the mouse itself and see if the problem still excists , trying to determine if its a sofware or hardware proble,

Go into Device Manager, you can find it in the control panel and look under Mice and Other Pointing Devices, does it look ok or is there a red or yellow splat

Hello Ken,

Re: "Go to Help > About Firefox . . ." I do have version 50.0.2

Re: "it may be one of your add-ons causing the problem"  I shall troubleshoot this.

Re: "You never said if your mouse was wired or wireless"  No, that I did not.  It is wired.

Re: "Go into Device Manager, you can find . . ."  All looks okay there.

Re: "Try changing the mouse itself . . . determine if its a software or hardware problem."  At this point, it appears that this may be my only option.  It is my belief that this is a driver problem.  I was hopeful that cleaning all PUPS and any possible viruses might solve this problem.  So far, there has been no improvement.

My current mouse is Logitech.  Since I have no other mouse readily available, I shall purchase a different manufacture's mouse.

Based on all of your responses, it appears that there is probably nothing more that software can to improve the mouse problem.  Keeping that in mind, I believe that we are more than likely complete.  Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you for all of your efforts!

Also, you never mentioned if this is a laptop or a desktop ?  You should try getting a wireless mouse, with Win 7 when you plug the adapter into a usb port it will go out and find the drivers for it.

Lets see what happens with the add ons with FF

Hi Ken,

Nope, I never mentioned if this was a laptop or a desktop.  And, you haven't asked.

This is a desktop.

No wireless mouse for me!  One more potential troubleshooting headache. (batteries).

Thanks you.

Cheers.
