Keep us posted. It would be interesting to hear what they say. In your discussion, be sure to say others can duplicate your issue, and not just with Adobe but in my case, with Foxit Reader too.

Thanks for all your help with this issue..altho I still have not heard back from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Archives about their site downloading zero byte files. But, I did have one friend who had a GREAT idea that I wanted to share with you.
She suggested to do this in FIrefox:
Go to Add-ons - Extensions (the puzzle piece icon) and search for: Save as PDF 1.5.1 Install it, the browser reloads and you should see a new icon on the header that is a navy blue rounded square with a gold graph on it. just click ... then open with Reader DC.
I did this and it works great!!!! One small drawback was the file is a live hyperlink to the site - when I tried to disable that feature, you can't do it unless you pay the $9.95 per year. Oh well! But it makes the pdf the way I want!!!!! I'm very happy with this result!!
Every once in a while I try to download an image on their site using their "DOWNLOAD" button just to see if they have made the correction for me, but alas, it is not to be......yet! Oh BTW, I did even try to download on my cell phone and the same issue - zero bytes.....so no matter what I use, I cannot download their images as usable pdf on anything I use!!! How can this be???

I don't use FF, so not sure I can be of much use here. But it looks like there are several add-ons that support saving as PDF (BTW, I don't see any that say, "1.5.1"). You might try one of the others.

I have great success with the FF addon - very pleased...so far!
However, this morning I did hear from someone on the Adobe blog board - or what ever they call it. He asked me to download it again and try opening it....dah!!! Been there done it too many times to count, but I did it just for him\her. and I attached the file and the link!!! That was as 9 am this morning. so far, no return reply...but I will wait. I still have not heard from anyone on the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Archive site yet......I am not impressed with them at this time.
thank you for your help. I will post back here when I get a reply for either one I"ve contacted incase anyone is interested.

It sure shows that great deal of perseverance is needed for this sort of thing...
Fingers crossed that the site owners or the board will send a useful response....
I suppose its too far to go and bang on their door!
