Having trouble running chkdsk

How to run chkdsk or System File Checker (SFC) from the Recovery Console. I'd suggest doing both.Boot your Vista installation DVDWhen you see "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD", press EnterAt the "Install Windows" screen, click on Repair your compu... Go to the full post

Hi,1695814, I have only just seen your topic over in the Virus and Spyware removal forum where you are being assisted by Jo to clean your computer.

 

We do not wish to make Jo's job any more difficult than it is already by posting further recommendations here in this forum... until Jo has finished her work and has sight of logs that indicate your computer is clear of malware.

 

If you still have problems with your computer once the virus and Spyware has been dealt with please post back here in this forum as we have some further suggestions to make.

Actually, Jo is helping me with computer #2.  

 

This thread is for computer #1.

That one pretty much wrapped up & then ken545 sent me over here for the chkdsk issues.

 

So, I think we're good.
