Well, at least this little trick got my browsers to work, but what I wanted it to work still didn't do so !!. Maybe because there's a firewall in the network that is causing it to not work, anyway, here's the trick, go to Internet Explorer, then to Int... Go to the full post

Hi Computer Engineer,

OK I understand.

As to the response time from the Virus and Spyware removal folks, its a fact that the supply of trained malware removal experts is exceeded by the number of folks who require their services... :(

However if you haven't received a response after 3 days (from posting your logs there) then please issue a gentle reminder in the following forum:

Actually, I'm thinking you just hadn't seen my response when you made this post as I responded yesterday.

Hi paws,

Well, I was going to free up drive space as soon as I free up space in my 1.3 TB HDD, because I record many videos that take up to around 1 GB per video, so, when my C: drive fills up, I send some to my HDD to free up space, and, because you said that my C: drive should have at least 15% free space in order to make my computer run effectively, I'll free up space in my 1.3 TB HDD to send all my videos there, and since my videos could not contain any malicious codes, there's no need to wait for them as I've posted my thread 2 days ago and I've received no answer yet !.

Regards,
ComputerEngineer.

According to the timing of your response, it was after I posted my post here !!. You can check the timing of both posts which confirm my claim (mine at Yesterday, 08:43 AM, and yours at Yesterday, 12:54 AM), nevertheless, I'm still grateful and thankful for your great help, Tomk !.

Not that it matters in the scheme of life... but you are correct on the timestamps which makes my post 7 hours and 50 minutes ahead of yours. :D

Hi Computer Engineer,

I see from your logs over in the Virus and Spyware removal forum that someone has installed incorrectly licenced software on to your computer, used torrents (P2P file sharing) software cracks, keygens and the like and that your Windows 7 operating system  is not licensed correctly.

It is no wonder that you are experiencing trouble with it and that it has become riddled with malware...

We are not willing to provide further support or recommendations until the situation is corrected, the improperly licensed software and operating system removed and correctly licenced replacements put in place.

If you require further assistance from the WTT forums then we will need your confirmation that the software and operating system is now correctly licenced and the person who installed the incorrectly licenced software and operating system, has agreed to comply with the WTT terms of use (an extract of which is quoted below)

Extract from Terms of Use:

The posting of links or references to warez or any other type of illegal software is strictly forbidden. By doing so you risk having your user account terminated without warning. We will NOT help anyone we suspect of having obtained their software or services illegally.

We will not support or allow the discussion of any peer to peer (P2P) applications, except for their removal.

Hi paws,

I understand, but I'll take more than for 5 days to validate it, and you know the rule: "Topics are closed after 5 days without response", so, what to do ?!!.

Regards,
ComputerEngineer.

I've responded in the other topic... but for clarification:

Only the malware removal threads get closed for non response.  This thread (in the hardware forum) will remain open forever.

Also, if the thread in the malware removal area should get closed, you can simply PM me (or Paws) and we will reopen it for you.

Another option would be for you to start a new thread once you've gotten legal, and help will continue.

You will not be abandoned.  We will still be here to help when we can.

Hi Computer Engineer,

We don't close topics here in this forum.

Tomk may close your topic over in Virus and Spyware forum, but its no great problem as it can be opened again...

I think that once you have formatted your hard drive and reinstalled a correctly licensed version of Windows and any other software then your machine will run much better!

Dont forget to check your back ups are 100% accurate, up to date, reproducible and with at least one extra copy kept safe offsite on removable media, before you format..!

Any stuff you have downloaded via torrents or where the provenance of the files is not 100% ....are best deleted........ and remember do not infect a brand new operating system by copying across or connecting any device that may have malware (Viruses Worms, Trojans etc.) or any other undesirable code.

Regards

paws
