Hi Peter

Win 7 was a nice visit but it made me appreciate Win 8 and I am glad to be back.

Did you get this the wrong way round?

I haven't found a single customer who has bought a Win 8 computer that hasn't regretted it..... they ask me to get rid of it (Win 8) and install something that they can work......

I do understand what they mean.....

Regards

If you bought the pc with Win 8 in it. disregard what I am saying but if you upgraded or moved from Win 7 to 8 you can read below.

I moved from Win 7 to 8.
I have spent endless hours and with Win 8. I doubt you will get your BT back. If you do please let me know. I actually did some harm trying drivers etc. I had to recover an image after all was said and done.
If you can live without it I would forget it ; some have suggested you get an adapter such as a dongle to replace your internal card.

Under services.msc is your bth.serv on or off? Can you find BT in your device manager?
Tap F2 and see under advanced if blue tooth is listed and on.

If you ran the advisor before updating to Win 8 it told you BT would be incompatible with Win 8.
I have tried the compatibility route too only to do more harm elsewhere.

Unless you really need it, I would forget it and maybe Dell or whoever will patch it.

I am not skilled so be careful unless you are.
Thanks
Peter

I am also facing the same.. Can I get solution from here?

Maybe, but a solution to what exactly would help? :)

Some programs will just not play friendly with W8, regardless. For anything that specifically needs a W8 driver or program version, you just have to wait until one is released unless a suitable alternative is available. Some compatibility issues are always going to be around new operating systems. Longer than normal with W8's lousy uptake. Techs are doing very well out of replacing W8 with W7 in new laptops.

I can never see W8 taking off for desktops, as it was really made for hand-held swipe screen gadgets and laptops. Desktop screens are 2 or 3ft away which is not ideal for regular swiping (and who wants young Tommy or Jenny's paw marks all over a large and expensive touch-sensitive screen anyway?). Changing W8 to to look and act like W7 is not really the answer either (just stick with W7 obviously).

W8 will evolve, improve and software will more fully catch up. Desktop computers are on their way out (BIG sales slump) and are being replaced by cheaper and cheaper and more powerful laptops, tablets and smart-phones with Cloud replacing the need for hard-drives. I can't even give away donated (working) desktops anymore and charity shops will no longer take them either. I've have had to stop taking them too. Personnel computers are rapidly heading into a new paradigm.
