my net book built in camera is upside down

i tried the hard reeboot but i didn't work its strange the cazmera is working but when i turn my laptop upside down the images is still upside down and to get it the right way up i have to turn it 90 degrees. so the laptops on it sdie not sure how i find out what ecap i have colin :)

so the camera is working with a picture again now, don't worry about updating ECap at the moment. the problem is when the notebook was built they installed the camera upside down, instead of trying to find a global fix, lets just just try and fix the problem in skype.. in skype can you go to the options and under video settings can you find a vertical flip option and tick it. :popcorn:

hiya, looked in skype cant find the flip camera option under camera settings or anywhere else in skype checked everywhere including advanced options. wht does the image stay upside down if i turn the notebook upside down colin :)

probably because the hardware knows it's upside down so tells the software to auto flip the picture. :D

seems that the flip option was removed in later versions of skype. :blush:

you sure you can't find a flip option anywhere.. :rofl:

only things i can think of, is to try using an older driver now seeing the latest doesn't fix it, do this by rolling back the driver in device manager if that option is available
or installing some new software to control the webcam.

have read this manycam software will fix the problem but i don't know anything about it :- http://www.manycam.com/getstarted/
