Hi!

It took over 6 hours to run that scan =)

I've attached a printscreen on my system configuration. I still have the same problem over 4 minutes until windows is fully loaded. Looks like it is something related to the harddrive, i did a pitstop and it shows low capacity accessing drive

http://www.pcpitstop...?conid=23758806

Hopefully you can help me out

yep that is normal. If you recheck everything that was clicked before then reboot. The system should start like it was before. If the little notice comes up just click on the little box in the lower left corner of the notice thats says something about not showing it again.
Then do the following and let me know what the results are.
Lets see what you have in your startup services area

Please click on
Start and then to Run
Type in msconfig and press Enter
Now click on Services
Click on the Hide All Microsoft Services
Then uncheck everything and restart.
If system boots correctly and is running smoothly and faster then we have a startup problem
Try going back into msconfig and check one item and reboot
Keep doing that till you have found the problem or all are finally checked.
Post back with the results

Once you change something in msconfig the box will start showing again.
At this point it seems the problems in not the startup or services.
Recheck everything back like it was and restart. Then do the following and let me know the results.

Let's make sure all drives are using DMA mode

Click the Start and then Right click My Computer
Select Manage and In the Computer Management window, select Device Manager
In the right pane, click to expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
The click on the + sign next to your Hard drive controllers on both the Primary Controller and Secondary Controller
Right click on the drive and select Properties
Click the Advanced Settings tab
In the Transfer Mode box open the drop down menu and select DMA if available
Redo the steps to check each of the Controllers
Click OK and exit all windows
Reboot to make sure all settings take affect. Reply back with your results

Download Speedfan (The download link is to the right), and install it. Once it's installed, run the program and post here the information it shows.
The information I want you to post is the stuff that is circled in the example picture I have attached.
To make sure we are getting all the correct information it would help us if you were to attach a screenshot like the one below of your Speedfan results.

To do a screenshot please have click on your Print Screen on your keyboard.
  • It is normally the key above your number pad between the F12 key and the Scroll Lock key
  • Now go to Start and then to All Programs
  • Scroll to Accessories and then click on Paint
  • In the Empty White Area click and hold the CTRL key and then click the V
  • Go to the File option at the top and click on Save as
  • Save as file type JPEG and save it to your Desktop
  • Attach it to your next reply

Power supply readings look good but the video card seems to be a little over heated for not doing anything graphic intensive. Is this a desktop or laptop? When was the last time you opened it up (if it is a desktop) and blew out the dust from the inside and the fans?

OK please boot into Safe Mode and let me know if the time actually is less. If so then I think I know where we need to go with this.
Safe Mode normally takes longer to load but if it loads faster then we need to look at what is starting up again.
