My suggestion in last post is in fact little registry changing, but we'll try to solve problem with smallest possible touching registry. Deleting registry (including earlier Office versions) as cleaning PC is not a good idea.

Word 2003 Works!!!

Uninstalled Office 2007 & re-installed Office 2003 and shoo .... all the problems go.

But missing the style & features of 2007, will surely look around for a cure.

Now all I can figure out is the novaPDF messed up with the printer settings of the Word in the registry, which are still lying in the system inspite of all the above troubleshooting.

Can you assist with cleaning registry of Office 2007 installations?

I'm glad that you almost resolved problems, although it's a pity can't use newer and better Office. Suppose that one day we'll discuss about Office 2010.

Now, we have only printing problem.
I’ve read that novaPDF installs a virtual printer driver that the system will perform as if it were a physical one.
Well, take a look your drivers. Goal is eventually to find driver(s) related to novaPDF. If you find and recognize, be careful and temporary move them (don’t remove/delete) to TEMP folder.

Method 1 (only Windows XP Pro)
You can use a tool called Driver Query (Driverquery.exe). Tool provides you with a detailed list of all installed drivers and their properties.
1. Open a Command Prompt window.
2. Type Driverquery on the command line.
The results are displayed in a table format in the Command Prompt window. Try to save results in a CSV file so you can open them in a spreadsheet application such as Excel and we’ll can analyze them. Type the following on the command line:
Driverquery /v /fo csv > drivers.csv
more

Method 2.
Use freeware DriverView. Give attention on column Company. You can make HTML report.

With installation of Word 2003, the printing issue has also been resolved. Can you suggest a good disk imaging utility.

I don’t know Disk Imaging freeware. On the market you can find many great tools (Acronis, Paragon, FarStone, O&O, Norton,…) from 30 to 60$ approximately. There are many features and reviews that you have to study. All I can say is that I use an old-timer Symantec Norton Ghost v8.2 (now v15!). This tool saves me from disaster a few times (works like Swiss watch). Disk Imaging Software is “must have” tool.

How should I go about repairing Office 2007 specifically Word? Should'nt we touch its registry entries?

Think that you should open new Topic to hear advices from other members about Disk Imaging Software. In this way you’ll get limited information.
