No problem. Give Ubuntu or Fedora a try when time is not as pressing. I think Fedora is an easier install for beginners.

hi biyouboogie, My trip got cancelled . I installed xp sp2 using external cd rom and installed it without any problem . But all my bios advanced settings are gone and the only thing i can change in bios is to set boot priority . i found bios drivers from the compaq offcial site but the bios driver available there is not compatible with my laptop . Some keys of my keyboard stopped workng and i am currently using usb keyboard . Pls help.
