The CMOS would probably not be a factor here. Try reloading the drivers. You must remove the current ones first via Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > NVIDIA > Display Driver

Latest drivers here:

At that NVIDIA link you can try: Option 2: Automatically find drivers for my NVIDIA products. This will find the latest updated driver for your card. VGA drivers are not a factor. You just need to remove your current NVIDIA driver before re-installing or installing an updated driver from NVIDIA. This will set your screen resolution to its minimum so you will need to adjust that afterwards.

The last BIOS for that board was issued 5 years ago but you can try it if you don't already have it.

Scroll to the bottom of this page: Live Update:

The CMOS issue is interesting. You might try replacing that battery.

I have replaced the CMOS battery with a new one and for a couple of days all work fine but again i found out the 3D options failing i.e. PC is not able to play Video files as well as games ..............................but after clearing the BIOS, things are now statrted workin again( for how many days i dont know). Is the graphic card at fualt or something is wrong with the motherboard at the time of accessing the graphic card................Please suggest .

I don't know.It is a strange issue. You might try an old NVIDIA driver.

This one has been suggested for that motherboard:

http://www.nvidia.co...p-2k_43.45.html

Windows XP/2000 Version: 43.45

Release Date: March, 27, 2003

Remember to uninstall your current driver first.

If it were a hardware issue the only test I can suggest would be a different card.
