This means that the enabled items will load (and consume system resources) any time you turn on your machine. (any time you boot)
To observe with OverDrive....
Select - Software from the top menu line
then next
Select - Processes from the lower menu line
In order to regain control over what you have running on this machine, let's use CodeStuff Starters.
We'll take it in (3) three steps, starting with Startup Menu, then Processes, then Services.
First we will begin with Startups
Please consider running this simple utility that will help you get control of programs and processes that you wish to have running active, or not.
CodeStuff-Starters
http://www.snapfiles...et/Starter.html
Download and install, agreeing to the licensing terms and allow to install with all of the default settings as preselected in the installation wizard.
When you finally allow CodeStuff-Starters to run
It will preselect StartUps Tab -
- Click on File
- Select - save as .Plain Text (name the report file - Startups Nov7.txt
In your next reply, post the file as an attached file (use browse and upload buttons -- at the bottom-right corner of your topic posting window where you are typing your next reply)
Please do not make any changes with Code-Stuff Starters, until after you post the requested information above and receive recommendations from a helper here.
Best Regards

lee cleared a load of stuff from my start up with the help of win patrol and all start up apps are listed above from yesterday..?
arent all these additional apps im being asked to download adding to the memory/speed probs or can they all be removed easily afterwards?
CodeStuff Starters is a utility application program that is available on-demand but does not run actively, nor consume any resources except when you are actually using it (Maybe 45 seconds at a time).
After you are finished using it, it can remain in your Program Files Folder for future use.
It occupies about 600kb of hard drive space.
Compare that to the size of an average low pixel .jpg image file.

As for the processes having been disabled via WinPatrol....
You've worked long and hard through this thread and the previous one.
Others have given you excellent suggestions to reduce processes running
But your PCPitstop Overdrive still shows (76) Seventy-Six items Consuming 53% of your RAM at 1545MB used, and 27% of your CPU processing Cycles..... just while it is sitting there doing.... nothing.
Compare that to an average cluttered machine running between 32 and 45 items active.
Compare that to a lean running machine having between 25 and 32 items active.
Both percentages of RAM used and CPU committed, should be very close to (0%) zero percent when at rest.
But it is up to you.
You've already received some good assistance up to this point in your Topic Thread.
It is certainly your choice, whether or not you are satisfied with your machines present configuration and level of performance.
Best Regards
