im back to download spybot and the others.

i am on IE and trying to manuever a bit to see. It was better before I added spyguard. Lets see. Back in a few minutes

no good. It seemed fine until I installed spyware guard. Firefox is working better than IE so far. But even offline my computer is as slow as it can get. It feels strange. Even my recycle been is different. I have to click on file to empty it were before the was a little link to empty. Thats not a big deal but why is everything changes. For 3 years I had a local settings folder in my documents and settings with a temp folder a history folder and a temorary internet folder. Its not there anymore and even if I search for it I cant find it. Still all in all firefox seems to be running better but Ie no

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

it installed ok but Im not getting any prompts. when I open the batch file it looks like a command promp and im lost herehow do I select option 1? do I just type in 1were the little thing is blinking? i didnt get any instructions just tells me use at my own risk and were to get help etc

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

i am on firefox and just realized that spyblaster or spybot did not immunize. I am Ok using this browser? dont want to download spyblaster till we finish this. computer feels better tho. Didnt try IE. Do you want me to do anything else tonight?
