do I do all the stuff in your post 132, but try to do it for Firefox? I added adblock and no script. So when Firefox asks it I want them to remember the password to a certain site I should say NO, I always say yes since I can never remember them. Is there a simple way to delete all the software we put on. After that I need to ask some more questions, won't be hard, just a few. Thanks. Might see you a little later, have a headache and this screen really hurts to look at. Thanks and see you in a few.

Yes follow the instructions that I provided in 132. What I just gave you in reference to Firefox is additional for you to do.

Is there a simple way to delete all the software we put on.

Follow the instructions to remove ComboFix and also OTL and this will remove most everything that we have used. Anything else that is remaining you can just send to the Recycle Bin.

You can allow Firefox to remember your passwords but it is less secure. If you have problems remembering passwords, you can even just right them down so you can look at the username and password to certain accounts, but it is your choice.

Under music I have "pictures" and MP Navigator Under pictures you see I have icons of the whole desktop. They won't move onto the desktop and if I remove them, it removes them from the desktop I also have a file called "looking over files", I have gone to start, typed it in and had it remove all looking over files and removed them, but this one I cannot remove. When using revo to uninstall it asks you to delete the bolded items in registry = should I? Should I ever do anything with registry I have a screenshot to send you, but for some reason even if I go to "add reply", it isn't allowing me to upload a file, there is nothing there.

One last qurstion that I don't know if it is up your alley ornot. My pictures open up in Windows Photo viewer, I just want to look at them normally and don't know what program. A get an error saying "enable Javascript in your browser". I went to check it under tools...options and it is checked. It won't let me open FaceBook. Where else might it not be checked? I might have deleted something that went to it.

It keeps popping up that my malwarebytes free trial has expired. Can I delete it and download it again? In google there are lots of free downloads for it, which one is the safest to download it. Also for the above enable javascript, I disabled the no script add on.

Hi Patty,

Under music I have "pictures" and MP Navigator
Under pictures you see I have icons of the whole desktop. They won't move onto the desktop and if I remove them, it removes them from the desktop
I also have a file called "looking over files", I have gone to start, typed it in and had it remove all looking over files and removed them, but this one I cannot remove.

I am not quite sure what you have going on there. I apologize but I don't think I can help you with that. Once you have NO more questions of me here in the Malware Removal forum you could start a new topic in the Windows forum for additional help.
----------

It keeps popping up that my malwarebytes free trial has expired. Can I delete it and download it again?

Malwarebytes should ask you if you want to upgrade permanently and pay for the complete version or not. If you don't want to have the paid version you should be able to select No when it asks you and it will revert to the Free Version on its own.
----------

A get an error saying "enable Javascript in your browser". I went to check it under tools...options and it is checked.

If it happened after you installed the Firefox addons I would have to say that it is NoScript causing this. You might want to check out the link that I provided you to download it and there is information you can use to better use that program. :)
----------

Can you tell me how to do all the stuff in post 132,

I am not sure what you mean? I provided the instructions for you to remove ComboFix first, followed by the instructions to remove OTL. All the remaining tools that I had you download you can remove to the Recycle Bin. The other instructions in post 132 are really only suggestions that you can decide on your own if you want to perform.

Whats a safe download place to download malwarebytes. It says nothing about reverting back to trial. If I click on it is just keep scanning with the error message on the lower right.

You should already have Malwarebytes installed on your system? If you were wanting to uninstall it and reinstall a fresh copy you can go to Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features and select Uninstall. You can download a fresh copy by going here, download it to your Desktop and run the installation program. Malwarebytes will put itself where it needs to go so you won't have to do anything.

When using revo to uninstall it asks you to delete the bolded items in registry = should I? Should I ever do anything with registry

Patti I just don't think that you should be using Revo uninstaller so that you don't accidentally remove something you don't want to...especially a Registry key of some sort. I think you could probably get along with just using the uninstallers that come with the programs themselves or going to Programs and Features and uninstalling them from there. :)

Thank you, I think that is about it. When I was referring to post 132 it was the below, but geared toward IE and not Firefox, FF doesn't have the same menu. If I should do this to make FF more secure, can you tell me how to do it. I tried this, but wasn't the same 1. Make your Internet Explorer more secure - This can be done by following these simple instructions: From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Options. Click once on the Security tab Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted. Click once on the Custom Level button. Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable Change the Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to Prompt When all these settings have been made, click on the OK button. If it prompts you as to whether or not you want to save the settings, press the Yes button. Next press the Apply button and then the OK to exit the Internet Properties page.

Hi Patti, No you don't need to do the same for Firefox as you did for IE. All you really needed to do for Firefox is install the add-ons I gave you the links for and you should be good to go. :)

Well, I guess we are all set then. I will try to behave and keep it clean. Many times when you have to download something it doesn't say it is a secure site and I am sure bugs are in there. I noticed a lot of your downloads said that too. I will try to contact someone about why things are in different folders like I showed you above. Thank you so much for all your work and patience and time. I really appreciate it. Patti
