Hi, I've pasted my current HJT log below. This is my first time here, so this is a baseline. My main problem is lack of speed. Do I just have too many things running? If so, I'd like any suggestions about which ones to delete. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Spybot S&D lets you kill the 04's, the startups. Start Spybot click mode at the top left,
make sure that advanced mode is checked. Then click on tools on the lower left.
Then system startup, to the right is a double arrow bar click it to expand.
Now clicking on a value you will get a description of the command line. Removing the green
check mark will stop the startup, should you decide that you need or want it back just
replace the check mark. Restarting your PC will complete the change.
Remove the check marks from the ones listed below.

OK, I removed the 04 items which you suggested, and then I ran the ATF Cleaner. I cleaned everything listed, except I did not clean cookies. Was that a mistake? I hope not, I hate filling in all the data again for all the sites that I use. Let me know what you think.

My main complaint is surfing speed, waiting for windows to fully open. It seems like my system is only 10 to 25 percent as fast as it used to be. My ISP says their speed hasn't changed, and that it must be my machine.

One of the 04 items you had me turn off was ctfmon.exe. After I started again, Spybot asked me to allow it everytime I opened a window or an Office component. I alwys refused, but I noticed in Task Manager that it's running anyway. Should I just go ahead and reinstate it, or should I uninstall it or something?

A couple of other things I noticed. I don't know where vs7debug/mdm.exe came from. Should I somehow remove it? Also, in the past I have run Pest Patrol, Trend Micro House Call, McAfee on-Line scan, and a few other on-Line scans, and I notice they show up in the 016 items. Should I get rid of them? Any hints you can give me a resource intensive apps that would be impacting my surfing performance would be appreciated. It didn't get any worse after the 04 item removals and the ATF cleaning, but I don't notice a big improvement either. Let me know what you think might improve my surfing speed. Thanks. Tools | Resident and untick the box for TeaTimer to disable it.
Exit Spybot.
In the Windows system tray, if the TeaTimer icon is still present, right click it and exit the TeaTimer.
Then restart TeaTimer.

OK, you didn't say to, but I ran a speed test first, before I did anything with TeaTimer. Download speed was 1362 kilobits per second. Then I unchecked TeaTimer (and the System Tray icon went away) and ran another speed test, got 872 kilobits per second. Then I restarted TeaTimer and got 1131 kilobits per second. I know that I didn't follow your instructions, but I hope what I did was OK. Now what?

Open Spybot Mode | Advanced Tools | Resident and untick the box for TeaTimer to disable it. Exit Spybot. In the Windows system tray, if the TeaTimer icon is still present, right click it and exit the TeaTimer. Please leave it disabled . Then post another hijackthis log.

Click on the Processes tab and end the following processes:
