Hi, "Downloader.Qoologic.bj" and its "...eebbqso.dll" processes continually show up in my malware scans. I have followed your cleaner, adaware, ewido, shredder, and spybot directions before posting the below Hijack This log. Thank you.

Click the View tab.
Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

thanks for your help LDTate. I was able to delete ybajkqd.exe but not ogsfa.exe because it said the program was in use. Under "task manager" there are 3 ogsfa.exe programs running. As soon as i stopped one of the ogsfa.exe, it would immediately reopen.

My computer has had alot of pop-up adds recently, and ewido keeps prompting me the "Downloader.Qoologic.bj" found message.

Download Avenger by Swandog, and unzip it to your desktop or somewhere you can find it. (Do not run it yet).
http://swandog46.gee...com/avenger.zip

Note: This program is for use on Windows XP 32 bit systems only, and must be run from an account with Administor priviledges. If yours is a 64 bit version, do not use it, let me know.

Open a Notepad file by clicking Start > Run and typing Notepad.exe in the box, click OK.

Click Format, and ensure Word Wrap is unchecked.

Copy and Paste all the text inside the box below into Notepad.

Now save the file as RemoveFiles.txt in a location where you can find it.

Files to delete:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ogsfa.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ybajkqd.exe

Start Avenger by double clicking on Avenger.exe.

Check Load script from file:

Click on the folder symbol below and to the right, and browse to RemoveFiles.txt.

Double click it to enter it into Avenger.

Click the green traffic light symbol.

You will be asked if you want to execute the script, answer Yes.

At this point you may get prompts from your protection systems, allow them please.

Avenger will set itself up to run the next time you re-boot, and will prompt you to re-start immediately.

Answer Yes, and allow your computer to re-boot.

Upon re-boot a command window will briefly appear on screen (this is normal).

A Notepad text file will be created C:\avenger.txt.

Copy and Paste it into your next post please, along with a new HJT log.

The forum is run by volunteers who donate their time and expertise.

Hi LDTate. I realized what i saved as "RemovesFile.txt" was more than needed. I was only suppose to include the quote in the "RemovesFile.txt" and i included everything after the quote too, or the directions for using avenger.exe. So, the avenger results include the directions being saved as "RemovesFile.txt" as well.

When i realized i made this mistake, after rebooting, i tried saving "RemovesFile.txt" to include your QUOTE only, or what you wanted to be deleted. Avenger.exe than said, "selected file does not appear to be a valid script." Sorry about this.

Download Pocket Killbox version 2.0.0.175
http://www.atribune....ads/KillBox.exe
If you already have Killbox first ensure it is this version !.

Then double-click on the killbox.exe program.

Start Killbox and click on Tools->Delete Temp Files.
Then select the option labeled Delete on reboot.

Do not close killbox, and open notepad, by clicking on Start, then Run, and typing notepad.exe and pressing the OK button.

When notepad is open, copy and paste the following bolded text into the notepad screen. You do this by highlighting each of the below bolded filenames and then pressing Control-C on your keyboard. Then click on the open notepad windows and press Control-V to paste the contents into the notepad.

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe, C:\WINDOWS\system32\ogsfa.exe
F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ybajkqd.exe

Return to Killbox, go to the File menu and select Paste from Clipboard.

Still in Killbox, click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click No at the Pending Operations prompt.

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually

Post a new HJT log.

We need to get rid of those two.

Restart your computer in Safe Mode.

Press F8 after the Power-On Self Test (POST) is done. If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, try restarting and then pressing F8 several times after the POST screen.
Choose the Safe Mode option from the Windows Advanced Options Menu then press Enter.

F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Userinit.exe,ybajkqd.exe

Return to Killbox, go to the File menu and select Paste from Clipboard.

Still in Killbox, click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click No at the Pending Operations prompt.

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually

ugh. LDTate i can not get the "paste from clipboard" option to work on Killbox.exe. In safemode it says it keeps saying "field empty.", while in regular mode it took about 20 times to load the first time. I know killbox.exe should be open before opening notepad and copying and pasting what you want into notepad, followed by selecting "paste from clipboard" option on killbox.exe. Is there another option of entering the files into killbox.exe? I have tried just copying and pasting the whole filename of what you want removed and clicking the red-white "x" on killbox and i get this message, " PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been removed by External Process!" I apologize again.

That should work. Post a new HJT log and lets see.

ok, about to reboot in safemode and follow those steps. I know C:\WINDOWS\system.ini did not have Quote: Shell=Explorer.exe, C:\WINDOWS\system32\ogsfa.exe UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Userinit.exe,ybajkqd.exe when i was looking earlier. Should i post what it has to make sure i am in right folder? I will follow the rest of the steps out anyway.
