Please download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to your desktop.
  • Close all windows before continuing.
  • Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
  • Put a check next to Run this program as a task .
  • You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 10 seconds. Click OK
  • When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button , your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button .
  • You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK .
  • When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your computer, click OK .
  • Your computer will then shutdown.
  • Turn your computer back on.
  • Please post the contents of C:\Look2Me-Destroyer.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
If you receive a message from your firewall about this program accessing the internet please allow it.

If you receive a runtime error '339'. please download MSWINSCK.OCX from the link below and place it in your C:\Windows\System32. Directory

1. Please download Stinger and save it to your desktop

2. Double-click on the stinger.exe file and open the tool

3. Choose your entire hard drive to scan.

4. Choose Scan Now

5. Stinger will fix anything that it finds

6. Click the File menu and select Save report to file

7. Post the log file results here in this thread.

NEXT

Download the trial version of trojan hunter from the link below. Update it scan your system and allow it to clean what it finds.

http://www.trojanhunter.com/

Let me know if it finds something it can not remove.

P_lease also post a new hijackthis log. You have a ton of nasties on your system and this will take a few stewps to say the least.

Hi Siggyx,

Many thanks for your help so far.

New HJT log below.

Just out of curiosity - I think what you guys do is fantastic and people like myself (with little knowledge) wouldn't survive without you - however what can I do to try and cmbat these sorts of problems and Hope fully lighten the loads put on you guys.

I have Norton AV and Ad-Aware which I run constantly but obviously this is not enough. Can you suggest other programs thbat I should be running daily if not weekly??

Again many thanks

Simon

NEXT

Please download MsnVirRem (Either zip or self extracting .exe), and save it to your desktop. Once in place, right click the zip file (or double click the exe), and extract the files to your desktop. It will create another folder called MsnVirRem DO NOT RUN ANYTHING IN IT YET

Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key repeatedly until a menu shows up (and choose Safe Mode from the list). In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work.

In the new MsnVirRem folder, that you should have on your desktop, double click MsnVir.bat and let it run its course. A DOS window should pop up, Let it run until it disappears. It will take time to scan your machine.
After it disappears, reboot back into normal mode.

NEXT

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan.

Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.
