After Giant, Spysweeper, ewido and spybot being run ...it's still there...

I also ran fixvundo from symantec and have had no luck with that as well

Now Norton keeps popping up a window:

Virus Alert

HIGH RISK

Object name c:\WINDOWS\System32\pmnll.dll
Virus Name Torjan.Vundo
Action taken Unable to repair this file

OK

when OK clicked...I get...

Object name c:\WINDOWS\System32\pmnll.dll
Virus Name Torjan.Vundo
Action taken access to the file was denied

OK

It's a never ending clicking...Itried to delete pmnll.dll but it says it's in use...I went to safe mode to try as well...with no luck...

Please download WebRoot SpySweeper from HERE (It's a 2 week trial): You can remove it after that.

Please set your system to show
all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

Here are the directions for creating a zip file For Windows XP:
Using Windows Explorer, locate the first file you want to zip.
Right click on the file and select Send To and Compressed (zipped) Folder.
Right click any other files you want to compress and select Copy.
Right click on the compressed folder and select Paste. The copied files will be compressed and pasted in.

Please upload the zip file if you can if you can't then upload the the files without zipping. here

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following file
gcasDtServ.exe

Also note the path to the file.

Then, please run this online virus scan: http://www.pandasoft.../activescan.htm

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

How is it running now log looks clean but for one reg. entry

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following,

O20 - Winlogon Notify: pmnll - C:\WINDOWS\System32\pmnll.dll (file missing)

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Right before you had responded Both Giant and Ewido have this quarantined... My problems may have been increased at the time of my post, when I Removed/deleted the items from quarantine...(not restored) I thought (bad assumption) that after in quarantine a while that the items could be permantly deleted I guess deleting them reactivates them? I also had an infection at one time from smitfraud / psguard... It has been running better with virtumonde in quarantine... Will I ever be able to delete it completely? Thanks, Pepperidge
