I have also answered your other topic.
But Candice. If you have Malware problems again, you should be in the
malware forum, and not here....
As for keep getting the trojan alert, indicates you are doing something
wrong, regarding your surf and download habits. So when you are finished
in the malware forum, you are more than welcome to post back here. I am
not allowed to advice on removal of malware, its strictly for the malware
forum.
But heres some reading, that you might benefit from;
http://forums.whatth...ing_t98700.html
Now, I don't ask you to do the things here. But do read the section just below "What can we do about it?"
Then we can take it from there, when you get a clean bill from the malware forum.

LOL.....I don't go to any porn sites!!! My goodness!!!!
Didn't mean to imply that you were. The linked information is meant for everybody, and
not you specifically. We just need to have that info there, as some do visit such sites.
Candice, if you have a Trojan on your computer, its a malware question, and for the
malware fighters to address. I am not allowed in assisting or give instructions
regarding this.
Happy day (Despite the troubles)

Its not normal that Zone-Alarm should freeze a PC up.
Have you remembered to disable windows firewall after you installed
Zone-Alarm? Its important that you only run one firewall, otherwise
they will get in conflict.
To disable windows firewall, go here:
Start or "My Computer"
Control-panel, then security center
In there you will be able to disable windows firewall. Do remember to
enable it again, if you uninstall Zone-Alarm!
In my opinion, there is no need to go buy security. Free software security
can do it just as good, as long as one is surfing disciplined. If you would
feel better about having a paid for program (and thus 100% support on it)
Then it is your choice and money.
I still feel you should head over to the malware forum. Just to be certain that
your PC is clean. Otherwise, it may never end. The sole purpose of a trojan
(like in the greek history) is to sneak more malware onboard your computer.
So one trojan not found, will mean a lot more trouble if not removed. Maybe
to a point, where the only solution left, is to re-format the PC, if left undisturbed.
That said. I hope you're doing ok or better!

Will you walk into my parlour?" said the Spider to the Fly,
'Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I've a many curious things to shew when you are there."
Oh no, no," said the little Fly, "to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair can ne'er come down again."

May I wholeheartedly reccommend AVAST!...Not only does it STOP trojans at the door , but it won't let the website setup !! As soon as you get on an infected website an alert comes up..The company that owns it sends out updates almost daily automatically... AND you can scan for viruses etc...It is a TOP Drawer program....I've had it for several months now & got NO infections, NONE !!!
Here's the best part....It's FREE !!....
Later,...

Also: From my reading all 3 of your threads in the HJT forum , it appears that you are scanning for viruses etc , while online....I don't think that's a good idea...I would suggest that you do any virus scans , (Avast , SpyBot , MBAM , AVG , etc) OFFLINE & with ALL other applications CLOSED....Somewhere someone advised me to do it thataway...Being online during the scan can cause problems with the scanning process , so I'm told...That could be why you're having a problem with AVG.. Ask Tomk...I'm sure someone here would back me up on this...Maybe....
Tomk is a superb tech...Follow his instructions in order and exactly & you WILL come out OK...
Best of Luck... ......

From your quote above
- Avast, if configured correctly updates and scans automatically in my experience
- Certain scans and most particularly online scans, you need to be online for them to work
- I do all my Antispyware scanning online immediatly after updating whatever program I manually choose to scan with on any particular day. None are in my startup, all manually run on demand.
kind regards,
Edit: to add the word Antivirus
