I have recently got rid of vundo virus, and the four keys highlighted below yesterday. Now I am getting the same 4 error messages on start up. Each time I run Malwarebytes it picks up the same 4 keys and says it has successfully deleted them only for them to reappear the next time I start the PC up.

It was fine this morning and then in the afternoon they appeared. is it worth doing system restore to yesterday when the logs were clean??

These are the 4 files that Malwarebytes picks up each time and the ones that appear in the error messages on start up.

Hi,

for it to be almost the exact same problem, its probably a site your visiting, or something you plug into your system that infected (thumb drive, phone, memory card etc…) so you need to plug anything in that you normally use, and refrain from surfing the web untill we get it figured out.

please do the following….

ComboFix

Please download ComboFix from Here or Here

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. Note: If you are having difficulty properly disabling your protective programs, or are unsure as to what programs need to be disabled, please refer to the information available through this link : Protective Programs
  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

[external image: Posted Image]

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Do not mouse-click Combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
also I just noticed…

Hi ssb123,

I noticed you posted a log at Bleeping Computer HERE

You should only seek help at one forum.
If you have multi-posted, we ask that you select one forum from those where you sought help and ask the others to close your topics. Although we understand you wish your problems to be addressed as soon as possible, there are reasons why multi-posting causes problems.

By Multi Posting you are utilizing the time of two (or more) trained helpers.

Helpers take a long time to train. They need a great deal of expertise and knowledge to be able to safely remove Malware from your computer and because of this are in short supply. We wish to use them to help the maximum number of people, and if they are researching the log of someone who is already being helped, then their time and effort is going to waste.

Understandably this causes a certain amount of bad feeling.

From the helper who has needlessly spent time researching your log and compiling and posting instructions, and from others who have to wait longer for their problems to be addressed.

Advice from two seperate helpers can cause problems.

Different helpers may use different methods to combat your infection. While each in isolation is safe, that may not be so if you follow the advice of both together. Some of the tools we use are very powerful and have to be used in a specific way and in some cases do not combine well with others. By using advice from two different sources it is possible that tools may be used that do not combine well and you may severely damage your computer, even rendering it inoperable in some circumstances.

If you wish to continue here, please notify the other forums so they can close your threads.
If you wish to be helped elsewhere let me know so I can close your thread here.

If you want to continue here please do the following….

Hi ssb123,

Fix with HijackThis

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Nduvugav] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\urifemey.dll",e
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Nfutuxekuv] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\Hqixapa.dll",e
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [powukokela] Rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\viyutoni.dll",s
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [58ea0404] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\ibcaojvd.dll",

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackThis. After that reboot your system and post a new hijackthis log.

Also let me know how things are running

Hi ssb123,

Disable Teatimer

Please disable Teatimer as it may interfere with the HJT fix.

First:
*Right click Spybot in the System Tray (looks like a calendar with a padlock symbol)
*Choose Exit Spybot S&D Resident

Second:
*Open Spybot S&D
*Click Mode, check Advanced Mode
*Go To Left Panel, Click Tools, then also in left panel, click Resident
*If your firewall raises a question, say OK
*Uncheck the box labeled Resident Tea-Timer and OK any prompts.
*Use File, Exit to terminate Spybot
*Reboot your machine for the changes to take effect.

Once your log is clean you can re-enable those settings.

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackThis. After that reboot your system and post a new hijackthis log.

Well done, your log appears clean

Now lets uninstall Combofix:
  • Click START then RUN
  • Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the /u, it needs to be there.
