hello

  • Download OTListIt2 to your desktop.
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
  • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTListIt.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTListIt2.
  • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply.
Hi, Thanks for the response. When I try to run OTListlt2 I get a windows error that says it has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. What next?
Ok, this sounds strange to me, but when I load safe mode it doesn't give me a desktop. It just says safe mode in all 4 corners and microsoft xp across the top. I tried like 10 times. I did it on my other computer and it worked, so I don't think it is me. Also, I noticed that when I go into my computer and try and open my c: drive it give me an error. It says "Windows cannot find 'RECYCLER/s-5-0-33-100022780-100011009-9238.com Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again, To search for a file, click start button, and then click search"
do this in normal mode then

Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools

  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt log in your next reply.
I was able to run it. Here is the log from combofix. Thanks.

Hi, The sentry parental control was a program that was recently added as a filter to monitor kids activity on the computer, and Regen is a program for a push button external hard drive. As far as the other files I do not recognize them. It does seem to be running better already and I can get into the c drive again. Thanks for all your patience and help.
