Was wondering last night why my new computer was slow… today, went to one of my sites, and and got the addy of About:blank .
Also, I had a files permissions problem, so I gave a microsoft tech access to my computer, and he tweaked some things, so now not sure if everything is ok (cuz I don't understand those "file missing" notes listed in the log)….
Can someone please help to fix my computer… I mean, if there is a virus, and to set it up with the tools I need to keep it safe?
THANKS!

Hi, and Welcome to WhatTheTech :)

Apologies in the delay in a response. We are overwhelmed with logs at the moment and there aren't enough helpers to go around. If you still require help, please do the following:

Please download DDS and save it to your desktop.
  • Disable any script blocking protection
  • Right-click dds.scr and select Run As Administrator… to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS.txt will open.
  • Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.
  • Save both reports to your desktop.
—————————————————
  • Post the contents of the DDS.txt report in your next reply
  • Attach the Attach.txt report to your post by scrolling down to the Attachments area and then clicking Browse. Browse to where you saved the file, and click Open and then click UPLOAD.
(If for whatever reason DDS doesn't work please just post a fresh HijackThis log).

Please describe how your computer is behaving at the moment, listing any symptoms and problems that you are experiencing.

Thanks.
HI… thanks for your reply. I finally just restored it to the factory settings, so all seems to be ok for now, other than I am having problems with permissions and files in Vista… but that's another forum…lol.. thanks again!
